This project involved designing and developing a portfolio website for Mahó Andrea, a celebrated Hungarian musical theatre performer recognized by Andrew Lloyd Webber himself.
The goal was to create a digital presence that matches the elegance and emotional depth of her stage performances --- a site where fans, industry professionals, and event organizers can explore her work, upcoming shows, and discography in one place.
I handled the full frontend build, from visual direction and layout design to scroll-driven animations and performance tuning.
Personal website for Andrea Mahó
Mahó Andrea had no dedicated website that reflected the caliber of her career. Existing social media profiles were fragmented and lacked a central hub for press materials, event schedules, and album releases.
The site needed to feel cinematic and immersive --- like stepping into a theatre --- while remaining fast, accessible, and easy to update as new performances and albums are announced.
Another key constraint: the design had to let the photography and content speak for itself without visual clutter competing for attention.
I built a full-screen, image-driven layout with smooth scroll animations powered by Lenis, creating a theatrical browsing experience that feels intentional and refined.
The architecture prioritizes content hierarchy --- hero imagery, upcoming performances, and album highlights surface immediately, while deeper content like news and gallery sections reveal through natural scrolling.
A dark, elegant color palette was paired with generous whitespace and clean typography to keep the focus on Andrea's photography and career highlights. The site was optimized for mobile-first viewing, ensuring fans browsing on their phones get the same premium experience.
Studied Andrea's stage presence, photography, and existing brand materials to define a visual language that translates her theatrical identity to the screen.
Designed full-screen sections with parallax scrolling, image transitions, and subtle motion cues that guide visitors through her story without overwhelming the content.
Built with modern tooling focused on performance and smooth 60fps animations. Implemented responsive image handling and lazy loading to keep load times minimal despite heavy visual content.
Structured the site for easy content updates --- new performances, album releases, and news can be added without touching code. Tested across devices and browsers before going live.
